AHAHAHA finally finished. I've been working on and off on this for a few months. Made in Flash CS3, and it's 1,590 frames. I need a flash break now.

This is a combination of a storyboard and animated music video - the scenes are all from the end of my personal story, however they are not chronologically the same. They were just pieced together to fit the music.

So Kaylink, what the crap is going on here?

All creatures born into my story's world contain the essence of an element - air, ash, ice, shadow, etc. Once during their life, they can summon this power to protect him. If they die without using the element (very rare), the element will stay behind even if the body dies.

Vlach, while hiding from an attacker in a small cave, stumbled upon one of these residual elements - a shadow spirit. Because the elements are strongly drawn to living bodies and need to be in one, it attacked Vlach in an attempt to take over him. But Vlach was too weak and could not accept the new intruder; his body reacted in a way that left him bleeding to death. However, Vlach's brother Kirn followed his scent and found the scene before him. Desperate, he made a pact with the shadow spirit - he would give him his body if it undid the damage to his brother.

This was where both their plans went wrong - Kirn's element he was born with was lightning, and because the intensity of lightning is the counter of shadow, when the shadow entered his body there was a massive, spiritual explosion within him as both elements simultaneously attacked each other. But the shadow had festered alone for a long time and had grown stronger with decay, and the lightning inside Kirn was subdued to almost nothingness.

The shadow corrupted both where it had entered Kirn's body and his mind. With his original essence nearly dead, Kirn's mind became greatly unstable. Bonds were forgotten, and a new, extremely unstable and almost psychotic personality was formed. For years he flickered in and out of consciousness, and became a new soul altogether.

However, when he is struck by Kaylink's element, light, the shadow is torn apart and destroyed, and he becomes lightning once again. But he is horribly wounded from the fight, and as his memories come flooding back to him he becomes overcome with emotion. Unstable, bloody, and horribly anxious, he summons his lightning bolt and ends his own life.

AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

. . . so thats what's happening - we start out as soon as Kaylink has struck him down, and Kirn has his memories flooding back to him before he snaps back consciousness and does his emo suicide thing. Baw.
